All Things Tulip Festival!
The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival brings people from all over the world to view the largest fields of tulips outside of the Netherlands. During the month of April, every color of Tulip goes into bloom just outside Historic Downtown Mount Vernon, Washington. Here are some insider tips for planning your trip to see the tulips.
When does the Tulip Festival happen?
The festival technically takes place April 1-30. However, we recommend attending during the second or third week of April to ensure you see the most blooms.
Where do we see the tulips?
There are four farms to choose from when going to see the tulips. Each one is unique, and each requires a small cost for entry.
Farms do not allow people to pull off the side of the road to take pictures. We recommend making an appointment at one of these four locations, planning extra travel time in case of traffic, and enjoying the views!
No matter when you make it up to see the tulips, we hope you’ll stop by and try some of our local eateries and check out our local shops (there are so many good ones!) See our previous blog post “Discover Skagit Valley: A Guide to Exploring Mount Vernon” for some fun ideas!
